Google has released its monthly security update for the Pixel series of smartphones. Besides updating the security patch to April 2023, the latest software patch also improves camera performance on select models, and the update also brings improved Bluetooth connectivity along with performance and stability updates.
The latest software patch is based on Android 13 OS and is available for the Pixel 4a, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro in India. In select markets, the update is also available for Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5, and the Pixel 5a 5G.
The April 2023 software update for the Pixel 7 Pro, the flagship offering, improves the autofocus capability in the macro focus mode. Similarly, the update also fixes a Bluetooth issue that would silently unpair accessories such as wireless earphones and speakers.
Our April software update begins rolling out today to all supported Pixel phones running #Android13 and will continue over the next week. The updates include improvements to:

Lastly, the latest software update fixes an issue on the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro, where the system would become unstable when a USB device or accessory is connected.
If you have any of the aforementioned Pixel smartphones, it is best to install the latest software patch to further improve the performance of the device. Also, this is the first OS update that Google has released after enabling 5G in the Indian market back in March.
