Dyson’s Rs 65,900 cordless vacuum cleaner illuminates dust for you

Vacuuming is a chore that even the most workaholic among us may dread, but it doesn’t have to be. Imagine if you could clean your floors without dragging a heavy machine around, or without having to switch power outlets for each room. Household appliance specialist Dyson has launched the Dyson V15 Detect Extra, which the company says is its most intelligent and hygienic cord-free vacuum cleaner in India.

What makes the Dyson V15 Detect Extra stand out are its unique attachments. For starters, there’s Dyson’s first self-cleaning ultra-soft dusting brush onboard. It is equipped with 8,100 ultrafine and densely packed Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) polymer filaments, a material inspired by fine paint and makeup brushes. The bristles are tapered to avoid scratching delicate surfaces. The brush also possesses a rotating cuff that removes dust and debris from the bristles hygienically and easily.

Then there’s the Awkward Gap Tool attachment that twists to reach and clean deep into narrow gaps, making it ideal for cleaning the hardest-to-reach places around your home or car.

The Dyson V15™ Detect Extra also features advanced technologies such as Dust Illumination, which reveals the particles you cannot normally see on hard floors and Piezo Sensor which detects high concentrations of dust and automatically increases suction power when it comes across a large amount of dust. A HEPA filtration system captures ultra-fine particles such as pet dander. Dyson also claims that a post-motor filter also holds back 99.97% of particles — as tiny as 0.1 microns — from expelled air.

The vacuum cleaner’s de-tangling brush bar technology is designed to tackle all hair types, whether it is left behind by pets or humans. The brush bar features 56 hair removal vanes, precisely angled to help migrate all hair types directly into the cleaner head. These polycarbonate teeth, combined with a set of spiralling nylon bristles, anti-static carbon fibre filaments, and strong suction power, capture and tackle troublesome tangles, as well as larger debris and microscopic dust.

The Dyson V15 Detect Extra is priced at Rs 65,900 and is available in Prussian Blue and Bright Copper colours at Dyson.in and Dyson Demo stores.
