Ahead of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 5, a recent report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the tech giant might unveil several new Macs in addition to the much-hyped Reality Pro mixed reality headset and operating system updates.

According to the tipster, Apple is testing a ‘pair of high-end Macs’ which may be powered by the M2 Max and the unannounced M2 Ultra chipset.  One of the devices might be the Mac Studio, which is powered by the M1 Max and M1 Ultra chipset and was launched more than a year ago.

A few days ago, Gurman claimed that a large 15-inch and a redesigned 13-inch MacBook Air powered by the M2 chip is already in the works. The 15-inch MacBook Air will reportedly sport a design resembling the M2 MacBook Air and will come with a couple of USB Type-C ports and MagSafe charging. Other hardware specs hint at the base model offering 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.

The upcoming iMac will most likely be powered by the M2 Max or M2 Ultra and will be available in multiple colours. The Apple analyst also suggested that Apple is working on M3 powered MacBook Air and iMac, with the latter expected to make an appearance at WWDC 2023 and ship sometime in the second half of the year.

Last week, Gurman said Apple will start accepting trade-ins of Mac Studio, along with the 13-inch M2 MacBook Air, and 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro, hinting that Apple might launch several new Macs at WWDC 2023.
