
Apple has announced that it will open a new store in Bengaluru’s Hebbal on September 2, its third retail store in India and the first in South India.
The expansion comes just ahead of the iPhone 17 series launch, and early leaks suggest some major changes are in store.
This year’s iPhones will reportedly drop the “Plus” variant, replacing it with a slimmer “iPhone 17 Air.” Apple is said to have discontinued the Plus model due to sluggish sales, while the Air reflects current trends favouring thinner smartphones.
The new lineup is expected to include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The Pro models may feature a third external camera button, possibly a touch-sensitive scroll button on the top left. The rear design is also said to be changing, with a full-width rectangular camera island housing three sensors and a flash. The Apple logo will sit slightly lower to optimise MagSafe charging.
