In India, the flagship smartphone segment is emerging as the most in-demand product category. In fact, Apple and Samsung continue to lead in India’s high-end smartphone category. The uptake comes despite broader economic slowdown and rising inflation. Experts believe brands like Apple will expand the markets for premium smartphones in the world’s most populous country.

Here are five new flagship smartphones that you shouldn’t ignore.

iPhone 15 Pro Max

Rs 159,900

Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Max (live review) is the company’s latest top-of-the-line offering. It is also the only smartphone from Apple that offers 5x optical zoom. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is powered by the new A17 Pro chip, capable of handling AAA video games such as Resident Evil 4, which is already available for pre-order. If you are looking for a premium flagship smartphone, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is clearly one such product that has almost everything and more that one would want from a high-end smartphone.

Despite being an iterative update, the Galaxy S23 Ultra (review) by Samsung is clearly one of the flagship smartphones of this year. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the smartphone features a premium glass-metal sandwich design and is also one of the few flagships with two dedicated telephoto lenses. It offers 100x zoom and is currently the only flagship phone in the market with a built-in stylus, also known as the S-Pen.

OnePlus 11

Rs 56,999

Unlike the iPhone 15 Pro Max or the Galaxy Z Fold5, the OnePlus 11 (review) is an affordable flagship powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with a Hasselblad-tuned camera system. Despite being a flagship, the OnePlus 11 does miss out on key features like an IP rating and wireless charging. However, as a whole package, the OnePlus 11 is clearly a great offering, especially for those who seek a value-for-money flagship.

Samsung Galaxy ZFlip 5

Rs 99,999

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 (review) is also one of the unique flagship phones of 2023, which is also one of the most compact high-end smartphones, especially when folded. Based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, despite its size, is as powerful as any other Android smartphone out there. The new secondary cover display allows users to do a lot more on this phone even when it is closed.

Vivo X90 Pro

Rs 84,999

This phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC and is one of the first smartphones to launch in the country with a massive 1-inch camera sensor with Zeiss lens coating. This flagship phone offers a premium leather finish and has a curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is also one of the fastest charging flagship phones with support for 120W fast wired charging.
