Disneyland was the place with the most Instagram posts in the world.
New Year’s Day 2015, followed by Valentine’s Day were the most Instagrammed days of the year.
Instagram, the photo sharing app that has nearly 400 million monthly active users, has shared some the year-end stats, which give a glimpse at the most active days and locations on the social media.
The list of most Instagrammed days looks like this:
1) New Year’s Day
2) Valentine’s Day
3) Easter
4) Mother’s Day
5) May 2nd which was the fight between boxing champions Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao
6) Halloween
7) Lunar Eclipse
8) The start of #superstormjuno, which hot North America in January 2015.
9) Superbowl Sunday
And finally January 2, the day after New Year’s also made it to the top ten with the hashtag #latergrams.

On the location front, which is based on the geotag data, Disneyland was on top followed by Universal Studios, Times Square and Central Park.
Number 5 was Eiffel Tower, followed by Louvre Museum (both in Paris). The list is based on global data.
There’s also a list of emojis uses most across the world and the Face with Tears of Joy one is right on top followed by Heart Eyes emoji and the kiss emoji. It should be noted that people often confuse the face with tears of joy emoji to be one that represents sadness.
