Tecno unveils Pova 6 Pro budget gaming phone with Dynamic Light

Tecno has showcased its latest budget gaming smartphone—Tecno Pova 6 Pro 5G—powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC at the ongoing Mobile World Congress 2024. The latest smartphone from Tecno comes in two shades—Comet Green and Meteorite Grey—and will soon be made available in markets like India by the end of this month.

Design is the most interesting aspect of this smartphone, and the device looks a bit like the Infinix GT 10 Pro (review). At the rear, the smartphone has a metallic finish; however, both the frame and the back panel are made using plastic. The back panel also houses MiniLED Effect Dynamic-Light, which consists of 210 LEDs with customisation support, which can be used as a notification LED.

The technical specifications of the Tecno Pova 6 Pro include a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The triple camera setup at the rear consists of a 108 MP primary sensor, and there is a 32 MP selfie camera at the front with support for up to 1080p video recording.

The smartphone is fueled by a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 70W fast wired charging and 10W reverse charging, which can be used to charge other peripherals. The smartphone ships with HiOS 14 based on Android 14. It is also IP53-rated for water and dust resistance, along with a dual-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.
