Tecno, on Thursday, September 4, launched Pova Slim, which it claims is the world’s slimmest 5G phone with a curved display. Unlike the Galaxy S25 Edge and the much-rumoured iPhone 17 Air, the Tecno Pova Slim is a mid-range device.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, the Tecno Pova Slim has a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate.

The Tecno Pova Slim is 5.95 mm thin, which means it is slightly thicker than the 5.8 mm Galaxy S25 Edge. While this technically isn’t the slimmest 5G phone in the world, it happens to be the thinnest phone with a curved screen.

The back of the phone has a unique, elongated snake-like camera island that houses a 50MP primary camera alongside a 2MP lens. It also comes with an integrated LED strip, which Tecno calls “Dynamic Mood Light”. The company says these LEDs will light up for notifications and calls and give the device a personality.

The Tecno Pova Slim runs on HiOS based on Android 15 out of the box, but the company hasn’t clarified if the device will get any OS updates. The device comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage and 8GB of RAM, which is on par with other devices in the price segment. You get an IP64 rating, which means the phone is protected from dust and can easily handle water splashes.

But despite the slimness, Tecno has managed to pack in a 5,160mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging. POVA Slim 5G will be available in three stunning shades- Sky Blue, Slim White, and Cool Black. Priced at ₹19,999, the device can be found at retail stores nationwide starting 8th September, 2025.
