Silent Circle’s Blackphone 2 is now available for pre-order

Blackphone 2, the second version of privacy enriched handset from Silect Circle is now available for pre-order. Silent Circle has started taking reservations for the handset with revealing the price.

Blackphone 2 will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display and will by powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Blackphone 2 sports a 13MP camera and will be loaded with Silent OS based on Android.

The original Blackphone was launched at $629. Blackphone 2 would mostly come at flagship-level cost but the inclusion of suite of security apps offering encrypted messaging and voice would defintely be worth the money. Blackphone 2 will be released in September 2015 with a focus on enterprise segment.
