On Wednesday, at Galaxy Unpacked 2024, Samsung introduced its latest clamshell-styled foldable smartphone—the Galaxy Z Flip6. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, Samsung calls it the most powerful foldable, period, which now comes equipped with new Galaxy AI features.
The base variant of the Galaxy Z Flip6 costs Rs 1,09,999 and will be available for purchase starting July 24.

The device has a 6.7-inch foldable primary display with up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness. It also gets a big 4,000mAh battery, the biggest ever on a Z Flip. The phone comes in four colours—Silver Shadow, Blue, Yellow, and Mint.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 comes with a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED Flex Window, which enables users to experience AI functions without opening the phone. This includes features like Suggested replies, access to Samsung Health, and supports more widgets than ever. Just like the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Flip6 is eligible for seven years of major OS and security updates.
The frame of the Galaxy Z Flip6 is made out of Armor Aluminum, while the cover display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and Samsung calls it the most durable phone from the Galaxy Z series. This is also the first Z Flip to get a vapor chamber cooling system, which helps the phone maintain sustained peak performance with 12GB of RAM and 256/512GB of internal storage.
The new Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy Z Flip6 include Photo Ambient, a wallpaper that changes in real time, based on the time and weather. Samsung has also improved the FlexCam, which allows users to use the cover display like a viewfinder, and now supports auto zoom. The camera unit now consists of a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with support for 2x optical zoom. There is also a 10MP selfie camera on the inside, which can also shoot up to 4K resolution videos.
