Oppo expanding its R17 lineup has launched the new Oppo R17 Neo with an in-display fingerprint sensor in Japan. The device is currently available on Japanese e-tailer UQCommunications. It is priced at JPY 38,988 (approximately Rs 25,000) and comes in Blue and Red colour gradient options.

The company originally launched Oppo R17 and Oppo R17 Pro in China. It is currently unknown if the company will launch this device in the global market or not. Key features of the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 660, dual camera setup on the back and 3,600mAh battery.

Oppo R17 Neo sports a 6.4-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with Adreno 512 GPU. The device comes with 4GB of RAM along with 128GB internal storage expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. It runs Google’s Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with the company’s own ColorOS 5.2 skin on top. All of this is backed by a 3,600 mAh non-removable battery.

Oppo R17 Neo sports a dual camera set up on the back consisting of a 16MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, the device features a 25MP sensor for taking selfies. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou.
