Nothing has just revealed that its upcoming Phone (2a) will be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC, which has been “exclusively co-engineered with Nothing to deliver seamless performance with remarkable power efficiency.” The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, has now confirmed that the Phone (2a) will be manufactured in India.

In a thread related to the Phone (2a) on X, a user, previously on Twitter, asked, “Are you making them in India?” Pei confirmed that the device is indeed manufactured in India by responding with “Yup.” The brand has also confirmed its collaboration with Ranveer Singh for the launch of the Nothing Phone (2a).
The Nothing Phone (2a) will officially launch on March 5, and the brand has also confirmed some of the prominent features of the device, including the design, chipset, and the device’s ability to offer up to 12 GB of RAM.
The Nothing Phone (2a) will continue to follow the company’s design language, featuring a transparent back panel and Glyph lighting. Based on renders, it appears that the Phone (2a) might not feature wireless charging and is most likely to offer a plastic frame.

The Nothing Phone (2a) is said to sit between the Phone (1) and the Phone (2) (review) in terms of features and specifications. According to leaks, the device offers a large OLED screen with an FHD resolution display and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the device is confirmed to feature a 50 MP primary camera, and considering the capabilities of the Dimensity 7200 Pro, it is likely to offer 4K video recording. In terms of software, the phone is likely to ship with Android 14-based NothingOS 2.5, and the company is partnering with Perplexity to offer AI services.
