Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 11,499. The smartphone will go on sale on open sale at 23:59 pm on August 3 via Flipkart. Lenovo also announced an upgraded version of the budget friendly Vibe K5 Plus with extra RAM and memory slot support, but the price of this phone remains the same at Rs 8,499.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note is the successor to the K4 Note, which was launched in January this year. The K5 Note will be Flipkart exclusive in India and will support the ANT VR headset along with TheaterMax technology seen in the K4 Note. Lenovo also announced a TheaterMax Bluetooth controller and partnership with the Amkette GamePad Pro 2 controller for the phone.

In India, the K5 Note comes with 3GB and 4GB RAM versions. The 32GB storage is expandable to 128GB via a microSD card. Just like the K3 and K4 Note, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note also comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. The Indian version of the smartphone runs the an octa-core MediaTek 6755 processor clocked at 1.8 Ghz. Lenovo has kept the camera at 13 MP with f/2.2 for the Vibe K5 Note, while the front camera is 8MP.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note has a metal unibody design.The new K5 Note is, however, more rounded at the edges compared to Vibe K4 Note and is 8.5 mm thick. It weighs 165 grams.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with company’s own Pure UI which has a more pure Android feel to it. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note device will also offer secure zone option which will allow users to keep two Facebook, WhatsApp, Gmail, etc accounts on their device.

Lenovo K5 Note is backed by a huge 3,500mAh battery and features a rear fingerprint scanner. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note with 4GB RAM will cost Rs 13,499.

Each of these phones has its own USP; with Redmi Note 3 it is the battery, the Le 2 focuses on content being bundled with the device, while Moto G4 Plus has a solid rear camera to offer. In case of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note, the company is offering extra RAM, VR headset support, Dolby Atmos sound and TheatreMax technology support to make this one stand out against the competition.
