Lenovo Phab 2 Pro will be the first commercially available Google Tango device that take augmented reality to a whole new level. Lenovo claims the augmented reality features on the phone have the capability to change how we use smartphones in everyday lives. "Our goal was to create a device with AR technology that it would become pervasive and disappear into your everyday life," Lenovo announced at the Tech World 2016 in San Francisco. With a metal unibody, 16MP rear camera and Dolby 5.1 audio capture, Lenovo claims the phone will be a flagship in all respects. It also has a 4000 mAh battery and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It will have serious augmented reality uses and Lenovo showcased a bunch of apps that puts these features to good use. The real use of the technology will be when apps let you measure distance, depth and the like using the camera only. The demos showed how the phone could revolutionise the home design industry for instance.
