Google recently announced that it will launch the Pixel 9 series at the Made by Google event on August 13. The tech giant has been tight-lipped on what the upcoming devices will offer in terms of hardware, but several leaks and rumours in the last few months have given us a good idea of what to expect from the Pixel 9 series.
Earlier leaks hinted at three Google phones – Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 XL, but it looks like we might also see a new foldable smartphone dubbed “Pixel 9 Pro Fold”, most likely a successor to last year’s Pixel Fold.
A recent report by the French publication Dealabs suggests that the vanilla Pixel 9 will start from €899 for the 128GB version while the 256GB variant will be priced at €999, making the new models a bit pricier than the Pixel 8.
The Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 XL are said to cost €1,099 and €1,199, respectively. If you are interested in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the second book-style foldable phone from Google, it is expected to cost €1,899. Rumour also has it that the new foldable will be available in two colourways – Obsidian and Porcelain.
We already have a good idea of what the Pixel 9 series might offer in terms of hardware. The upcoming phones are said to pack the Tensor G4 chipset and have a redesigned camera pill with a small oval strip similar to the first-generation Pixel Fold. Since these prices are for Europe, they won’t necessarily be the same in other markets. However, we can expect a similar price bump in other regions.
