Asus ZenFone 5Z will soon be getting the latest Android 9.0 Pie update. According to the company, a firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) update will start rolling out to all Asus Zenfone 5Z users by the end of January 2019. Asus said the update will be rolled out in a phased manner to avoid update server congestion.
As per Asus, the Android 9.0 Pie will be rolled out to the ZenFone 5Z with model number ZS620KL. This is the same model which is being sold in India. As you might expect, the update will be seeded automatically. However, users can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > System > System Updates > Check for Updates. The latest Android Pie update brings several new features, including an all-new contextual pop-up volume bar and a new Magnifier feature for easier copy-and-paste.
Asus Zenfone 5Z sports a 6.2-inch full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor paired with Adreno 630 GPU. It comes with 6GB/8GB of RAM along with 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage. The device runs Google’s Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with the company’s own ZenUI 5.0 on top. All of this is backed by a 3,300mAh battery. It also features a dual camera set up on the back consisting of a 12MP primary sensor paired with an 8MP secondary sensor. In the front, it sports an 8MP sensor for taking selfies.
Asus Zenfone 5Z is exclusive to Flipkart. The 6GB RAM/64GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 29,999, 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 32,999 and the 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 36,999.
