Asus is bringing its ROG Phone to India on November 29. The Taiwanese company has started sending media invites for the launch event, although there's no mention of venue or time. India is the latest country where Asus plans to launch the Republic of Gamers (ROG)-branded smartphone. The high-end smartphone is already available in the US and UK. Asus' ROG Phone was first introduced during this year's Computex tech trade show. The ROG Phone is a niche smartphone with a core focus on mobile gaming. The handset sports a 6.0-inch AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a resolution of 2160 x 1080. Asus' ROG Phone is one of the few smartphones in the market to support 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response. The phone is powered by a tweaked version of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is clocked at 2.96GHz. The device also features 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of internal storage. What makes the ROG Phone is cool is the fact that it comes with a detachable ActiveAir Cooler, which the company claims will keep the processor from overheating during an intense gaming session. Asus has also incorporated two AirTrigger sensors. These two sensors are mounted over the top of the display. There's a third AirTrigger sensor that is accessible in a portrait mode. The company says these AirTrigger sensors are programmable and only requires 20 grams of force to press. Interestingly, the ROG Phone has not one, but two USB Type-C ports, one of which is placed on the side. The other Type-C port has been placed at the bottom of the phone and supports 20W fast charging. The ROG Phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery. As for extra accessories, Asus will be selling a number of compatible accessories supported by the ROG Phone. It includes a TwinDock that enables dual-screen gaming, two physical trigger buttons, and more. Asus' ROG Phone is coming to India at a time when mobile games such as PUBG, Fornite and Asphalt 9 are popular among consumers. The ROG Phone will be an expensive smartphone when it launches in the country on November 29. In the US, Asus ROG Phone is priced at $899 (or approx Rs 64,013).
