Apple’s new iPhone 6s could come in a rose gold option with 2GB RAM and a 12 megapixel camera, according to a report on Apple Insider. The report is based on a research note from leading Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities.
The Apple Insider report says that the iPhone 6s will have four colours: rose gold, gold, space grey and silver. In addition to this Apple could use a scratch-resistant covers, though this is a big if and depends on drop-tests.
What is not clear is if the rose gold will be made of actual 18-karat gold like the Apple Watch. If so, then it remains to be seen if Apple will have a $10,000 iPhone 6s, this time.
Other big features that the note mentions are 12 megapixel camera and 2GB RAM with the new A9 chip. Apple’s iPhones have stuck with the 1GB RAM for sometime, but these rumours about the iPhone coming with 2GB RAM have been around every year, though they have never come true.
Also Apple has consistently stuck with the 8 megapixel rear camera, even though it has improved on the camera quality and sensors with the iPhone 6.
With iPhone 6s rumours promising more RAM and a higher-megapixel camera, it remains to be seen which one of these will come true.
