Valve’s Steam is one of the most popular marketplaces for video games in the world. The company often updates the Steam client with several new features like the ability to install games on Steam Deck without an internet connection.
Now, it looks like Steam is offering a free 90-minute trial for select games. Compared to demos and trials, which let players enjoy only a part of the game, a trial version of the game lets them play the full game but only for a certain time period. After the trial expires, players have either uninstall the game or purchase it.
The first title to make it to Steam’s game trial feature is the popular sci-fi survival horror title Dead Space. If you want to try the game, all you need to do is launch Steam on your PC, find the Dead Space page by searching in the client and click on the ‘Try Dead Space – Free Trial’ button. Once the game is installed on your machine, Steam will show you the amount of time you can play the game for free. If you close it before the trial timer ends, the app will show how much time you have left on your trial.
Dead Space 2023 is a remake of the classic Dead Space that was launched in 2008. Published by Electronic Arts, the game puts you in the shoes of Isaac Clarke, an engineer who is on a mission to repair a mining ship. But soon after he gets on the ship, Isaac finds himself surrounded by hostile creatures called Necromorphs. Dead Space is currently available at a discounted price on Steam and can be purchased for Rs 2,399.
