ROG Ally will go on sale from July 12 in India for Rs 69,990

Last week, Asus confirmed that its Steam Deck competitor – ROG Ally will soon be available in India. Now, the company has announced that the Windows 11-powered handheld gaming device will be available for purchase on Flipkart from July 12.

To give you a quick recap, the Windows 11 console can run PC games and is powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor paired with a Radeon GPU. The AMD Z1 features 6-cores based on the Zen 4 architecture with the GPU offering 12 compute units based on the RDNA3 architecture.

It has a 7-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and weighs 608 grams. If you want more power, ROG Ally lets you connect an external GPU (ROG XG Mobile).

Compared to Steam Deck, ROG Ally offers more performance with the display having a faster refresh rate. Also, Steam Deck runs on Valve’s Steam OS, which is primarily optimised for gaming whereas the Asus handheld runs a full-fledged desktop version of Windows 11.

ROG Ally will be available at Asus Exclusive Stores, Flipkart and Asus Eshop from July 12 for Rs 69,990. Asus is also hosting a flash sale on Flipkart on July 7. First 200 customers who purchase the device from Asus Eshop or Asus Stores on July 12 will also get a complimentary ROG Ally Case worth Rs 2,000.
