Nintendo has set the date for Direct 2024, where the company will showcase upcoming titles for the Switch on February 21 on YouTube, and these games will be made available in the first half of 2024. This will be a 25-minute-long video where the console maker will showcase several trailers and in-game footage of the upcoming video games.

During the Nintendo Direct 2024 virtual event, the company will also announce the launch date of several video games, and partners are expected to showcase some of the projects they are currently working on.

This announcement comes just a few days after the news of the company postponing the launch of the highly anticipated Switch 2.

Some of the prominent titles that are likely to be announced at the Nintendo Direct 2024 will include Hi-Fi Rush by Tango Gameworks, and we could also finally see the Metroid Prime 4 reboot. The 2023 edition of the Direct was over 40 minutes, where, Nintendo announced titles like Splatoon 3, Princess Peach Showtime, F-99, and more.

The Nintendo Switch is one of the most successful gaming consoles of recent times, which has even surpassed the sales figures of Sony Playstation and Microsoft Xbox. Despite being a seven-year-old gaming console, developers are still releasing newer titles and keeping the platform active by offering new video games to users.

According to the latest report by Bloomberg, Nintendo is likely to announce the highly speculated Switch 2 by the end of 2024, and the console is said to go on sale in March 2025, which marks the 8th anniversary of the original Switch. In terms of features, the Switch 2 is said to be powered by a new NVIDIA Tegra processor with features like ray-tracing, and the console is also reported to include a bigger 8-inch display, which could be an OLED panel, similar to the Switch OLED, which was announced in 2021.
