Evil Within & The Evil Within 2 horror video games go free for a limited time on Epic Games Store

Two popular horror video games — Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 will be available for free for a limited time on Epic Games Store. The first part of the installment can be claimed for free until October 26 and the Evil Within 2 will be available for free of cost starting October 26.

Directed by Shinji Mikami, the creator of the Resident Evil series, the Evil Within series belongs to the survival horror genre, where, Detective Sebastian Castellanos fights for his life with just limited resources, these games are published by the popular studio Bethesda, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2021. This game usually sells for Rs 1,179 and it was originally released in 2013.

The second installment — Evil Within 2 was released in 2017 and the story revolves around Detective Sebastian Castellanos saving his daughter. Currently, the game is listed for Rs 1,999 and will be available for free starting October 26.

Both titles have been well received by critics, especially for their jump-scare moments and thrilling storyline. These titles do not require a high-end PC to run. In fact, one can play these games on computers with decent hardware like a 3 GB graphics card, 8 GB onboard memory, and around 40 GB storage space.

Eternal Threads, an adventure puzzle game is also available for free on Epic Games Store, which was originally released just last year. The storyline revolves around six characters, who make multiple decisions with each decision altering the story. This is also a simple game that can be played on even basic gaming computers with just a 2 GB graphics card.
