Sony has announced a price-cut for its Xperia X and Z5 Premium model smartphones in India. Xperia X is now price at Rs 38,990, a price-cut of Rs 10,000 from the original. On the other hand, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will see a price drop of Rs 8,000, with the phone now retailing at Rs 47,990. The revised price of the two devices is effective from September 1. Sony launched the Xperia X series in India in May 2016 at Rs 48,990. It features a Hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, an Adreno 510 GPU, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920x1080 pixels resolution. Xperia X runs on 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card slot. It comes with a 23MP rear camera, with a 13MP front shooter, and has a 2,620 mAh battery with the company's battery saving technology. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium was launched in October 2015 at a starting price of Rs 62,990. It was the world's first phone with a 4K display. It features a 5.2-inch full HD display. The phone is powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, with an Adreno 430 GPU. It features 3GB RAM, 32GB storage - expandable up to 200GB. Xperia Z5 Premium's camera is 23MP, with a 5MP camera for the front. Sony at the time claimed that the camera had the world's fastest auto focus - just 0.03 seconds. Both camera units feature Sony's Exmor RS for mobile sensor. The device features a 3,430 mAh battery. The phone is waterproof and also features quick charge capability. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor coupled with 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM. The phone features 23MP main camera with a triple imaging sensor. The front camera is 5MP with a 22mm wide-angle lens.
