At a time when tech giants are scrambling to introduce the most futuristic smart glasses, Hong Kong-based company Solos has taken the technology a step further. The company recently launched its offering, AirGo Vision, the world’s first smart glasses, which come with a ChatGPT-enabled artificial intelligence and a camera.
The AirGo Vision comes integrated with GPT-4 and is being marketed as a wearable AI that is available for all. The device offers some interesting features such as real-time visual recognition and hands-free operation. According to the company, AirGo Vision redefines wearable technology as it prioritises user control and greater personalisation.
Moreover, the glasses are compatible with top AI frameworks such as Google’s Gemini and Anthropic Claude. Reportedly, the smart glasses work across devices. The frame weighs around 42 grams and has a battery life that backs around 2,300 interactions per charge. The glasses have been designed to offer comfort during all-day use.
The AirGo Vision comes in two frame styles—Krypton 1 and Krypton 2—with seven colour variations, and it can also be customised with prescription lenses. These frames can also be paired with existing Solos AirGo3 smart glasses. One can buy the AirGo Vision on Solosglasses.com and Amazon for $299 ( about Rs 25,365). Users can also opt for the frame only at $149 (about Rs 12,640) and can also combine the camera frame with a regular frame at $349 (Rs 29,606).
The company, which is under Kopin Corporation, is among the top 15 nanotechnology companies in the world as per the official website. The company claims to be dedicated to inventing the world’s most advanced smart glasses technology with a “human approach”. The company has over 100 patents and patent applications and has won numerous innovation awards.
