There are very few people in history who hits a tennis ball as cleanly as Jannik Sinner. The Italian on Saturday won the most exhausting point of the ATP Toronto Masters against Tommy Paul.

Sinner won a rally of 46 shots and each one of them are quality of highest order. Sinner reached his second final of the season with a 6-4, 6-4 win over American Tommy Paul.

“This was a fight, he was playing great,” Sinner said.

“This is what I play for — the big matches.

“I know the feeling of a Masters 1000 final. Hopefully I can show my best tennis tomorrow.

“I’m happy with how I reacted to situations on the court. I’m happy to be in the final again. The pressure is something great, it’s positive.”

Sinner will take on Alex de Minaur of Australia, who defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina of Spain 6-1, 6-3.

Sinner has seven tour titles, winning in February at Montpellier.
