Here's a look at how Indian athletes have performed at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo so far

Javelin: Neeraj CHOPRA, qualified for the final with a first throw of 84.85 metres

Javelin: Sachin YADAV qualified for the javelin throw final with a best attempt of 83.67m

Javelin: Yash Vir SINGH missed out on qualification for final with a best throw of 77.51m

Javelin: Rohit YADAV missed out on qualification for final with a best throw of 77.81m

200 Metres: Animesh KUJUR ended 9th with a 20.77s time in the heats

Triple Jump: Abdulla Aboobacker was 10th in Qualification with a best effort of 16.33m

High Jump: Sarvesh KUSHARE ended in 6th spot in the final with a best jump of 2.28m

Long Jump: Murali SREESHANKAR was 14th in Qualification with a distance of 7.78m

110 Metres Hurdles: Tejas SHIRSE was 6th in Heats with a time of 13.57secs

35 Kilometres Race Walk: Sandeep KUMAR ended 23rd with time of 2:39:15

35 Kilometres Race Walk: Ram BABOO ended 23rd with time of 2:39:15

35 Kilometres Race Walk: PRIYANKA was disqualified

1500 Metres: POOJA was 11th in the heats with a time of 4:13.75

SACHIN YADAV MAKES THE CUT! TWO INDIANS IN THE 12-MAN JAVELIN THROW FINAL TOMORROW.

Sachin Yadav's best throw of 83.67m is good enough for him to secure a spot in tomorrow's final.

The other two Indians, Yash Vir Singh (best attempt of 77.51m) and Rohit Yadav (best attempt of 77.81m) miss out. While Rohit ended 28th, Yash was 30th in the 37-man contest.

Here are the top 12 who will return to the stadium tomorrow for the final

Olympic champ Arshad Nadeem needed all three of his throws to qualify for the javelin throw final at the World Athletics Championships. He threw 76.99m and 74.17m with first 2 throws, before throwing 85.28m with his 3rd attempt.

Earlier today, Neeraj Chopra had needed just ne throw of 84.85 to qualify.

The automatic qualification mark is 84.50m, so Neeraj did not need to throw his second and third attempts. But with both Olympic champions qualifying, it sets up a India vs Pakistan clash tomorrow in the final!

Rohit Yadav sends his spear to a distance of 74.51 metres with his second attempt of the night. That won't cut it. But at least thanks to his first attempt of 77.81m, he is ahead of the Olympic champion from Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem, at least for now. Both throwers have one more throw left.

Meanwhile, India's Yash Vir Singh had thrown a first attempt of 76.11 metres! He has two more attempts to breach the automatic qualification mark of 84.50m. So does Rohit Yadav, who threw 77.81m with his first attempt.

Can one of these two join Neeraj Chopra in the final?

Olympic champion from Pakistan Arshad Nadeem could miss out on the tomorrow's final! He has one throw left to secure a qualifying spot after managing just 76.99m and 74.17m with his first two attempts. Nadeem is the 27th best thrower right now with one final attempt left!

Only the 12 top throwers make it through even if they do not breach the automatic qualification mark of 84.50m.

Kenyan thrower Julius Yego also needs just one throw to qualify for the final. He nails his first attempt, throwing 85.96m, which secures him a direct spot in tomorrow's final.

There were just three automatic qualifiers from Group A, including Neeraj Chopra. Olympic silver medallist Jakub Vadlejch, who threw a season best, was fourth, but not an automatic qualifier.

Colombia's Billy Julio Lopez might only be 18th in the standings after Group A ended with a best effort of 76.01 metres, but he has one of the most eye-catching follow-throughs after releasing the javelin.

Two throwers so far have thrown ahead of Neeraj Chopra's best attempt of the day of 84.85m: Julian Weber, who threw 87.21m with his second attempt of the night, and Poland's Dawid Wegner, who threw 85.67m with his third and final attempt of the night. The POlish javelin thrower has his personal best here.

But that still doesn't matter. He is the only thrower out of the 19 javelin throwers in Group A who qualifies for the final with a single throw!

Germany's Julian Weber needed two throws to qualify.

Everyone else is having to make at least three throws to try and qualify.

Neeraj Chopra came, saw, warmed up, threw one qualification throw, and left with not even a sweat drop shed. He just needed some help from a volunteer leaving the stadium where he became an Olympics champion four years ago.
