IPL Points Table 2024, Team Rankings: The Chennai Super Kings strengthened their position in top four, winning their fourth game – beating Mumbai Indians by 20 runs. CSK are third in the points table but are only behind Kolkata Knight Riders (2nd) on NRR and two points behind Rajasthan Royals.
Mumbai Indians on the other hand, slipped to eighth in the points table – having only two wins from six games.
Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders returned to winning ways and improved their standing at the second spot of the IPL 2024 points table after thumping Lucknow Super Giants by eight wickets on Sunday. KKR have now won four of their five matches, recovering from a defeat to Chennai Super Kings in their previous outing. Meanwhile, LSG remain on six points after as many games.
While Rajasthan do hold the advantage at the top of the table when it comes to the points, KKR have played one game fewer than the table toppers.

RR, KKR, CSK and SRH are the four sides that are currently in the top four. The top four teams will qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. The top two teams will play in the first Qualifier with the winner going straight into the final. The Eliminator will be played between the teams who are placed third and fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. The winner of the Eliminator will lock horns against the losing team of Qualifier 1. The winner of the Qualifier 2 will enter the final, which will be held at May 26.
Kolkata Knight Riders will next host Rajasthan Royals at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants will face Chennai Super Kings in Lucknow next Friday.
