Maintaining her fine form in the tournament, Delhi golfer Sifat Sagoo claimed the overall title with an overall score of two-over-218 in the combined Category A and B event on the concluding day of the ninth leg of IGU Ladies and Junior Golf Championship played at Chandigarh Golf Club. Another Delhi golfer Jahanvi Bakshi shared the second spot with Delhi golfer Hitakshee Bakshi with an overall score of eight-over-224. It was a superlative performance from Sagoo as she returned with a par score of 72 in the third round of the tournament. After managing a par on the first hole, Sagoo dropped a bogey on the second hole before sinking her first birdie of the day on the third hole. The youngster carded three more birdies on the front nine apart from two bogeys as she ended the front nine with a score of two-over. The back-nine saw Sagoo recovering well and the golfer sank two consecutive birdies on the 11th and 12th hole before carding birdies on the 14th,15th and 18th hole respectively. Sagoo had earlier shot a score of 69 and 77 in the first and second round respectively. Jahanvi who started the day six shots behind Sagoo, started the day with confidence as she sank four birdies on the front-nine to end the first nine holes with a score of 1-under. The back-nine too saw Jahanvi carding birdies on the 11th, 14th and 18th hole respectively to finish the final round with a par score of 72 to share the second spot, Hitakshee carded six birdies in her final round as she carded two birdies on the front nine apart from sinking four birdies on the back-nine. Another Delhi golfer Diksha Dagar finished at the fourth spot with an overall score of 13-over-229. In the ladies category, Sifat Alag of Delhi claimed the title with an overall score of 11-over-227. Punjab golfer Gurjot Badwal finished at the tied-second spot along with Tamil Nadu golfer Sanjana A with an overall score of 18-over-234. Badwal made score of six-over-78 in the final round while Sanjana returned with a score of seven-over-79 in the final round. In the Category C event, Panchkula golfer Hunar Mittal claimed the title with an overall score of 16-over-216. Mittal shot a final round score of nine-over-81. Vidhatri Urs of Karnataka finished at the second spot with an overall score of 26-over-216. In category B, Nayanika Sangha of Maharashtra emerged as the winner with an overall score of 15-over-231. Khushi Hooda of Delhi finished at the second spot with an overall score of 18-over-234. A total of 50 golfers took part in the three-day long championship.
