Indian pacer Navdeep Saini got his first wicket for Worcestershire with the first ball he bowled against Derbyshire in the County Championship Division Two.

After opting to bat, Worcestershire were bundled out for 237 with their skipper Jake Libby (78) their top scorer.For Derby, Anuj Dal (5/45) was the wrecker-in-chief as he ran through Worcester’s top order.
In reply, Derbyshire was reduced to 32 for 2 with Navdeep Saini and Dillon Pennington picking up one wicket apiece.
The 30-year-old Saini has signed a four-match deal with Worcestershire, but after the India call-up, he might have to cut his stint short.
Saini was expected to play against Derbyshire, he but won’t be available to face Yorkshire (July 10-13), Leicestershire (July 19-22) and Gloucestershire (July 26-29).
“Getting one game before the West Indies series will be good preparation for me to get some overs under my belt,” he has told this Newspaper.
India play the opening Test of the Caribbean tour in Dominica from July 12-16 before the second and final game in Trinidad from July 20-24.
