Vincy Premier T10 League 2020, Day 4 Highlights: The first clash of the T10 league carnival was a one-sided affair. First marquee player Sunil Ambris delivered with the bat with an unbeaten 41 helping his side post 104/2. In the second innings, he delivered with the ball taking two wickets for four runs in his two overs. Javid Harry took starred with the ball taking three wickets for seven runs. Salt Pond Breakers won the match by 49 runs against Botanical Garden Rangers.

In the second match, opener Salvan Browne’s 44 helped La Soufriere Hikers post 84/5. In reply, Fort Charlotte Strikers could post 73/8, losing the match by 11 runs. In the last clash of the fourth day, Grenadiers Divers were beaten by Dark View Explorers. The Divers could not chase down a total of 87 as they suffered a batting collapse. Leg-spinner Sealron Williams starred with the ball taking three wickets for 11 runs.

Right-arm fast bowler Darius Martin into the attack. Martin starts off with a dot ball. Next delivery, Asif Hooper pulls it along the ground for a couple of runs. WIDE! That was over Hooper's helmet. Short ball again, Hooper plays it towards point fielder, a dot ball. Martin is hitting the deck hard, all Hooper could do was get his body away from the short ball. He defends the next ball, no run. The run chase is underway. Right-arm off-spinner Daron Greaves opens the bowling. Shem Browne misses the first ball. FOUR! Browne gets off the mark with a boundary. FOUR! Tijourn Pope starts off the final with a wide, a single taken off it too. FOUR! The new batsman Kody Horne plays the perfect cover drive and gets a boundary. Horne gets a single off the next ball. Left-arm fast bowler, Obed McCoy back into the attack. McCoy mixes up the pace. Two singles off the first three balls. Even the set batsman Deron Greaves is facing problems. Explorers should go for big shots with eight wickets in hand. FOUR! Greaves flicks that one away for a boundary as McCoy misses his line a bit. RUN OUT! That's a confusing run out. Greaves tried to scoop the slower ball. A wide ball and he lost his balance. The non-striker Andrew Thomas wanted a single but he did not go for it. And then he gets run out. Greaves out for 27. It is now a statistical impossibility that they will win this match. Ambris's Breakers close in on their fourth win and this is set to be the biggest winning margin of the league so far. Strough, who bowled the league's first maiden over, comes back to finish off with the 10th over. And Ambris gets Currency. Knew his elder brother had to go for his shot, he dropped his pace significantly, got Currency to step out and mistime it to the fielder in the deep. The Rangers lose their entire top order and can now only hope their net run rate does not take too much of a beating because of this loss. Ambris then picks up Welcome's wicket. Welcome has not had a great welcome to this format. He departs after an innings of 3 runs off 16 balls. The slowest innings in the VPL so far. 42/5 after 7.4 overs
The Salt Pond Breakers are set to continue their winning run in this competition. Joey Welcome has a tortutous stay in the middle, with Currency looking on helplessly from the non-striker's end as the required run rate keeps climbing to unachievable proportions. Six dot balls in the 7th over. Unbelievable stuff. First maiden in this competition's history is bowled by Wesrick Strough. The Rangers are on 38/3 after 7 overs and their hopes are already up in smoke.
Sunil Ambris has a laugh at his brother's expense. He motions to knock off Currency's bails at the non-striker's end and then has a laugh. Currency is not amused by the Mankading stunt. He had his bat well inside the crease anyway. Ambris's Breakers are all over the Rangers now, however, and they can afford to showboat. Another cheap over from Ambris. 38/3 after 6 overs
Another tight over which produces little in terms of runs. Pressure increases on Currency and Welcome. 37/3 after 5 overs. Ambris brings himself on to bowl the 6th over.
And there's another wicket off the last ball of the third over. A sensational spell from Javid harry. 2 overs, 6 runs, 3 wickets. That has decisively tilted the balance of this match towards the fielding team. Currency gets a lucky four with a punch to the left of short third man. But it is Harry who has the last laugh in the over again. Gets Shallow bowled out and follows up with a punch in the air. Shallow gets into the act with a pulled six. He pushes the score further at the end of the third over with another driven four into long off. He moves into double figures as the team score moves to 27/1 after 3 overs. Harry, who had figures of 1/1 in his first over, comes back to bowl the fourth over.
Javid Harry's spin for the 2nd over. And he gets the first wicket. Atticus gave the charge, missed the line of the ball and was stumped. Romel Currency, Ambris's brother, comes out at No 3. his team need a big one from this experienced campaigner. 9/1 after 2 overs 1 run and a 1 wicket in that over from Harry.
Delorn Johnson takes the ball in the first over. Atticus Browne and Hyron Shallow open for the Rangers. A chase of 105 sounds like the perfect recipe for a cliffhanger of a chase.
