Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a 78-ball century for India U19 against Australia U19 in the Youth Test on Wednesday, which makes it the 4th fastest recorded Youth Test century in history. Suryavanshi thus becomes the only batter in history after Brendon McCullum to record two men's U19 Test centuries in less than 100 balls. After wrapping up the Australian innings for 243, the Indian U19 team came out all guns blazing at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane on Wednesday, led by the young Suryavanshi, who has already left a mark on the series in the limited overs games. The Indian teenage star departed for 113 runs from 86 balls with India almost having overhauled the first innings tally of Australia. Suryavanshi smashed eight sixes and nine boundaries in his innings, and set the stage for India to go on the offensive. Suryavanshi was not the only centurion of the day for India, joining the teenager was Vedant Trivedi, who's unbeaten at 116 at stumps on day 2, with the India U19 team holding a lead of 95 runs. WATCH: Suryavanshi plunders century for India U19 against Australia U19 This comes a week after Suryavanshi broke the all-time record for the most career sixes in Youth ODI cricket during the second India U-19 vs Australia U-19 50-over match at the Ian Healy Oval in Brisbane on Wednesday. The 14-year-old surpassed compatriot Unmukt Chand’s previous record by hitting his 39th Youth ODI six. The Indian teenager repeatedly made headlines in the Indian Premier League with his exploits for Rajasthan Royals earlier this year when asked to open the innings for the franchise by coach Rahul Dravid. He had also scored the second-fastest hundred in Men’s Youth Tests against Australia U-19 in Chennai last year. He had reached the three-figure mark off just 56 balls to sit behind only Moeen Ali of England, who had smashed 56-ball ton back in 2005.
