Ranji Trophy 2015, Group C: Hyderabad in driver’s seat after enforcing follow on against Tripura

Hyderabad had scored 548 in their first innings riding on Hanuma Vihari's double hundred.

Hosts Hyderabad look good for seven points including a bonus after enforcing a follow-on on Tripura in a Ranji Trophy group C encounter on Wednesday.

At stumps on the third day, Tripura were 25 for no loss in their second innings after being bowled out for 237 in the first essay thereby conceding a huge lead of 211 runs.

Hyderabad had scored 548 in their first innings riding on Hanuma Vihari (219)’s double hundred.

Tripura still need 187 runs to make Hyderabad bat again and their efforts will largely depend on the performance of their outstation pros Arindam Das and Parvinder singh.

Former Bengal opener Arindam scored 73 in Tripura’s first innings score of 237 with only other contributor being Manishankar Murasingh (51).

Seamers Chama Milind (3/50) and M Ravi Kiran (3/45) shared bulk of the spoils.

Ian hits ton as J&K reach 325/5 on day 3

Ian Dev Singh scored a century to help Jammu & Kashmir reach 325 for five on the third and penultimate day of their Group C Ranji Trophy cricket match against Goa on Wednesday.

J&K still need 227 more runs with five wickets in hands to topple the visitors’ massive first innings total of 552 for five declared.

Resuming at 43 for two, the overnight batsmen — Ian and Pranav Gupta — put on 100 runs together for the third wicket.
