On Monday, they were together at Eden Gardens, paying their last respects to Jagmohan Dalmiya. Four days on, BCCI members would go into separate huddles to discuss the next presidential candidate.

According to reports, former BCCI president N Srinivasan has reached Nagpur and will meet Sharad Pawar on Thursday. The two had been bitter rivals but of late, there’s been a thaw. Srinivasan’s loyalists, on the other hand, will be having an informal meeting in Bangalore tomorrow. It’s East Zone’s turn to nominate the president until 2017 and BCCI joint-secretary Amitabh Chaudhary might emerge as a consensus candidate from the region, a development Srinivasan won’t mind.
In Delhi, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur will sit with his supporters. Thakur represented Pawar’s panel in the last AGM. It would be interesting to see what he does in the post-Dalmiya era. IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla is likely to be present in the meeting.
