India vs England, 2nd Test: Mohammed Siraj released from the India squad, Avesh Khan re-joins the team

Pacer Mohammed Siraj has been rested considering the amount of cricket he has played in the recent times.

India have relased pacer Mohammed Sira from the squad ahead of the second Test in Visakhapatnam and Avesh Khan has re-joined the team, the BCCI said in a statement.

“The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and the amount of cricket he has played in recent times,” BCCI said in a statement.

“He will be available for selection for the third Test in Rajkot.”

Avesh Khan, who was released from the team ahead of the first Test a nd was asked to join his state team Madhya Pradesh for the Ranji Trophy has re-joined the team.

“Avesh Khan has re-joined the team for the 2nd Test.”

India have made three changes in their playing XI.

Injured KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja has been replaced by Rajat Patidar, who is making his Test debut and Kuldeep Yadav. Mukesh Kumar comes in for Mohammed Siraj.

On the other hand, England have made a couple of changes from their last win. Off-spinner Shoaib Bashir is making his debut in place of injured Jack Leach and James Anderson will replace Mark Wood.
