India vs Australia tip-off XI: Shreyas Iyer to make a mark, Mukesh Kumar back in action and watch out for Chris Green

Glenn Maxwell’s heroics on Tuesday helped Australia to keep the series alive by clinching the nail-biter and make the five-match T20I series 2-1. The visitors will now look to make it all square in Raipur. The pitches provided in this series thus far have been a paradise for the batters. However, that’s the intriguing part about this venue as there have not been too many international or IPL games played at this ground.

One international match played here was an ODI when India faced New Zealand and the latter were bundled out for 108 in the first innings which the hosts chased with ease. The pitch was green on that day and the bowlers in this series can use a bit of help.

Indian death bowling has been below par in the series in addition to spell with the new ball. It has been only Ravi Bishnoi who has been able to deliver the goods by picking up crucial wickets that covered the cracks. Australia on the other hand have a similar issue as their bowling too once again looked toothless in Guwahati.

Shreyas Iyer into the team

As if the batting line-up was already not strong enough for the Aussie bowlers to deal with Shreyas Iyer will now join the squad and is expected to play right away, to add to Australia’s headaches. Iyer will play a crucial role in the middle over in the upcoming T20 World Cup and his role in the team and what number he will be batting might be there to see from this game.

Mukesh Kumar comes back

Though Prasidh Krishna has many strengths, bowling at the death in T20s is not one of them. That got exposed during the third T20I. Mukesh Kumar who missed out on the last game to get married will be back in the eleven to perform the death bowling role. He has been one of the more accurate and precise bowlers in the series with the deliveries he wanted to execute during clutch situations of the game.

Watch out for Chris Green

With Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoins and Josh Inglis going back to Australia, the team will have a few new faces. Green is someone who needs to be watched out for by the Indian team. He is a seasoned campaigner in the format across the globe. He is a tidy bowler and can tonk the ball a long way in the final overs of the innings.
