Indian women’s team has made multiple changes to its squad for the ODI series against Australian cricket team in the home series which starts from Thursday. India’s side for the T20I series against Australian women’s team, meanwhile, has remained unchanged from the squad that was named for the home series against England earlier this month.
Six players — Shreyanka Patil, Renuka Thakur, Richa Ghosh, Saika Ishaque, Mannat Kashyap, and Titas Sadhu — will be coming into the team while eight others — from the Indian side when they last played ODIs (in a tour of Bangladesh in July) have gone out from the squad.
India and Australia will play three ODIs and three T20Is in Mumbai after the hosts registered their first-ever win in women’s Test cricket history over Australia on Sunday. The Indian women’s team defeated Australia by eight wickets. This comes on the heels of India registering back-to-back Test wins over England — their first against them at home.
The three-match ODI series will be played at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium and will start from December 28. The next two ODIs will be played on December 30 and January 2 respectively.
Both teams will then play all their T20Is at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil stadium, which will host T20I games on January 5, January 7 and on January 9.
