Dhruv Jurel was included in India’s playing XI in Chennai, after all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy was ruled out due to side strain. India have included Shivam Dube and Ramandeep Singh into the squad. With Rinku Singh also missing the two matches due to back spasm, India are bit light in batting. Ramandeep Singh, who has played a couple of games in South Africa and has shown his hitting prowess is likely to replace Dhruv Jurel in the playing XI. Ramandeep is a useful medium pacer and is an excellent fielder as well.

India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has said that Mohammed Shami is not playing because of the team combination. The Indian pacer, who has not played for India since the 2023 ODI World Cup final in Ahmedabad will have to warm the bench again as the Rajkot pitch is expected to be a belter.
England have named an unchanged team. They are still banking on all pace attack with Adil Rashid their lone spinner. Former England captain Michael Vaughan on Cricbuzz has suggested that the team management must play Rehan Ahmed in the third T20I. It seems like Rehan will have to wait for his chance.
