Kidambi Srikanth squandered seven chances to force a decider in the second game to lose 9-21, 23-25 to Lee Cheuk Yiu of Hong Kong in the men’s singles semifinals at the Hong Kong Open on Saturday. Srikanth had been the lone Indian to reach the semifinals of the Super 500 event.

Srikanth was leading 20-15 in the second game only to lose it 23-25.
Srikanth had reached the semifinals after fifth seed Chen Long of China decided to quit the contest owing to an injury on Friday.
