Attacking Shiv Sena supreme Bal Thackeray for criticism of Sachin Tendulkar’s “Mumbai for all” remark,LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Tuesday said the Sena leader should renounce politics.

“If he has to pen only such things,he should stop writing. Bal Thackeray should renounce politics if he can’t progress beyond such divisive ideas,” Paswan said reacting to the Thackeray’s attack on Tendulkar in the Sena mouthpiece “Sammana”.

Backing the batting Maestro’s statement,Paswan said “People of every state have some special affection for their state and language but national interest is the uppermost and Tendulkar’s statement subscribes to that.”
