PM Modi nominates Sourav Ganguly, Kapil Sharma and Kiran Bedi for ‘Swachh Bharat campaign’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday nominated few more public figures and institutions for taking forward the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. These include former cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, standup comedian Kapil Sharma and Magsaysay Award winner Kiran Bedi.

Speaking at the banks of river Ganga in Varanasi, PM Modi nominated nine more individuals and institutions to be become a part of “Swachh Bharat campaign” and take it forward,

Modi also applauded the people and city administration for cleaning the Assi ghat which earlier had a huge mound of mud and waste lying all over the place.

PM Modi who visited his constituency Varanasi to mark the ‘Good Governance day, also visited Banaras Hindu University where he launched “Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Training” — a Rs 900 crore HRD Ministry initiative.
