Even as Amar Singh has been expelled from the Samajwadi Party, its state president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that their personal and family relationship will remain normal.
“Our personal and family relations will remain the same,” Akhilesh, who visited Shubanthai, native village of former party leader Janeshwar Mishra,to attend a ceremony, told reporters.
He,however, ruled out any possibility of Amar Singh coming back into the SP.
“This won’t be possible,” he said.
The state president invited all the leaders who had left the SP in the past to return to the party fold.
When asked about former SP leader Azam Khan’s statement that SP should apologise to Muslims,Akhilesh said that the party has not done anything which called for regret.
Earlier, party spokesperson Mohan Singh alleged that by making indecent remarks against Janeshwar Mishra,Amar Singh had made an unpardonable mistake.
He alleged that Amar was giving baseless statements out of sheer disappointment.
“Why was he unable to detect ‘parivaarwad’ and dictatorship in the party in the last 14 years?” he asked.
Singh said the party would petition the Rajya Sabha Chairman to disqualify Amar Singh.
Amar Singh had given a cheap example by not resigning from the Rajya Sabha,he alleged.
Singh said that other than Jaya Prada and four MLAs no other MP or legislator was supporting Amar Singh.
For SP Amar Singh is a closed chapter and a torn page of history book,he said.
When asked about Jaya Bachchan,he said that she was a decent lady and party would consider sending her again to the Rajya Sabha on the basis of her behaviour.
