Days after raising a banner of revolt against PM Narendra Modi following BJP’s poor show in Bihar polls, party patriarch L K Advani Sunday said the government is on the right track to bring “achhe din” in the country.
Speaking to reporters after exercising his vote for the Ahmedabad civic polls at a booth in Khanpur area, he said, “I believe the whole system takes its own time. Since the government is going in the right direction, I believe the results will also be good.”
He was asked whether the Modi government has failed to fulfil its promise of “acche din”.

Party veterans Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Shanta Kumar and Yashwant Sinha had issued a strong statement after the Bihar poll loss, saying the party has been “emasculated” in the last one year and was being “forced to kow-tow to a handful”.
To a query on how he sees this election turning out for the ruling party after the Bihar show, Advani said BJP has put extra effort to ensure they win the civic body polls. “I can say that consciousness of our party has increased (after the Bihar result). All efforts were made here to see that the result comes in our favour. And these efforts will be certainly reflected in the result.”
