Jaitley on whirlwind tour — both on road and in air

Jaitley cast his vote at Gandhinagar around 5.30 pm and returned to Amritsar at 9 pm.

BJP nominee from Amritsar, Arun Jaitley, was on a whirlwind tour on Wednesday — first covering all the nine assembly constituencies in Amritsar by randomly visiting polling booths and then flying off to Ahmedabad, from where he went to Gandhinagar to cast his vote.

Jaitley cast his vote at Gandhinagar around 5.30 pm and returned to Amritsar at 9 pm. Along with his wife Sangeeta, Jaitley went to Ahmedabad in a chartered plane.

He started his day around 6:30 am and went to pay obeisance at Golden Temple and Durgiana Temple. He then randomly visited polling booths in five urban assembly segments starting from Amritsar South. This was followed by his visits to rural assembly segments, beginning with Attari.

“I started my day at 6:30 am, covered all nine assembly segments, then went to Gandhinagar to cast my vote and now I am back in Amritsar,” Jaitley said after landing in Amritsar. He is scheduled to go to Delhi on Thursday.
