Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday countered the criticism the party faced over the ink attack on Sudheendra Kulkarni by bringing up the Dadri lynching issue.

“Country’s image has been maligned because of Dadri lynching and not because of the ink attack on Sudheendra Kulkarni,” said Uddhav.

“We know how long to remain in power,” said Uddhav.

Uddhav mocked Bharatiya Janata Party’s stance on the Ayodhya issue. He said that BJP has been promising to build the Ram temple without telling when.

The Sena chief also pushed for a uniform civil code and urged the government at the Centre to declare India as Hindu Rashtra.

“Declare this country as Hindu rashtra and implement common civil code, instead of searching for beef at people’s houses,” said Uddhav.
