BSP to challenge issue of notice to Maya in SC

BSP leader and lawyer Satish Chandra Mishra said that the order would be challenged in the Supreme Court.

Reacting to the Allahabad High Court notices served on Chief Minister Mayawati and Naseemuddin Siddiqui in Taj Corridor case,senior BSP leader and lawyer Satish Chandra Mishra on Friday said that the order would be challenged in the Supreme Court.

Mishra in a press release issued by BSP here said,that they (BSP) would challenge the High Court’s decision in the apex court.

He said that in the same matter earlier,writs were filed three times in the SC,but were rejected by the apex court.

The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Friday issued notices to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and her cabinet colleague Naseemuddin Siddiqui on PILs seeking resumption of proceedings against the two in the Taj corridor case.

A division bench comprising Justice Pradip Kant and Justice Sabehul Hasnain passed this order on PILs filed by Anupama Singh,Kamlesh Verma and others challenging the special CBI court order dated June 5,2007 by which the proceedings were dropped against the two in the case.
