AAP welcomes all: Kejriwal’s party issues online form for Lok Sabha ticket seekers

AAP has launched a web page for those wishing to contest 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP),which made a dazzling debut in the recent Delhi Assembly elections with candidates who never had any political affiliation,is now attempting to repeat the same in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

And while the party went from pillar to post in search of candidates for the Delhi elections,this time,AAP has,in another first,launched a web page for those wishing to join the fray. People,who wish to contest the 2014 Lok Sabha elections,can download a form from the web page and fill it to apply for an AAP ticket.

Apart from personal information,ticket seekers are supposed to furnish details regarding social work done by them and political affiliation if any,including those of family members.

Ticket seekers have also been asked to give details about any criminal case/conviction concerning them and their family members. They are also asked about their source of income and property owned.

Another interesting question in the form is what the interested candidates would do if they are not given a ticket by AAP. The choice of answers include ‘contest as independent candidate’ and ‘try to get ticket from some other party’.

The form also has sections for details of the team of a ticket seeker and 100 proposed voters in his/her favour.
