In order to provide better scholarship support to students, especially those from religious minority groups, Common Services Centres (CSCs) in different districts of Tripura have started the process of authenticating biometric details of heads of institutions, nodal officers, teachers, and students. The process is being carried out as per a directive of the Centre and has to be completed by the end of this month.

Speaking to reporters, Gourab Deb, CSC manager in West Tripura, Monday said biometric details of heads of institutes and nodal officers of 102 minority schools in the district are being authenticated. The authentication process for students will be carried out in the next phase.

“Biometric authentication of heads of institutions and nodal officers will be carried out till August 10. And the biometric detail authentication of students of minority institutions will be completed by August 25. The entire exercise is being done under the National Scholarship Portal of the Centre with support from the state government,” Deb said.
