China: 6.2 magnitude earthquake jolts Xinjiang province

There were no reports of casualties.

A 6.2-magnitude earthquake today jolted Changji’s Hutubi county in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The quake struck at 1:15 PM (local time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC).

There were no reports of casualties.

The epicentre was located at 43.83 degrees north latitude and 86.35 degrees east longitude. It struck at a depth of 6 km.
