PUNE, May 25: The police have prepared the sketch of one of the suspected killers of Sagar Ladkat, the 24-year-old son of a prominent petrol dealer Balasaheb Ladkat found hacked to death under mysterious circumstances in Kondhwa on Saturday morning.
The identities of the killers are yet to be ascertained and the police are yet to form any theory about the motives behind the murder. A hunt has been launched for the assassins with the help of the sketch prepared on the basis of the description provided by a watchman of a building in Kondhwa. Special police teams have been sent to various places to find out the culprits.
The police are searching for a tempo trax, suspected to be used by the killers. Members of the Ladkat family had noticed the tempo trax parked near the circuit house under suspicious circumstances for several hours while they were searching for Sagar on May 22 night.
The police are looking for five youths in a Maruti car parked outside Ladkat’s petrol pump under suspicious circumstances late on May 22 evening. Investigations have revealed that the youths had made two calls to Kalyan from a STD booth located opposite the petrol pump between 9 pm and 9.15 pm, only a few minutes before Sagar left the petrol pump.
