NEW DELHI, May 26: The run out of opener Jitender Singh (38: 2x4) in the 20th over triggered off a major collapse and South Delhi, chasing a target of 206 in 40 overs lost their last seven wickets for a meagre 20 runs in 10 overs to lose to Chand Khanna by 107 runs in a Pool B match of the 22nd Lala Raghubir Singh Memorial Tournament at the Modern School grounds here on Tuesday. This was Chand Khanna's first outing in the tournament while South Delhi finished their pool engagements in the three-team pool with one win and a loss. Sonnet (having already lost to South Delhi) is the third team. Some tight and penetrative off-spin bowling by in-form Sumeet Dogra (3 for 13 from 5.1 overs) and Sunil Joshi (2 for 25 from eight overs) pushed South Delhi towards defeat as they crashed from a comfortable-looking 68 for three in the 20th over to be dismissed for 98 in 30.1 overs. Left-arm spinner Vishal Singh Yadav had done the early damage, claiming the first three wickets within the first 11 overs as South Delhi reeled at 35 for three.
